Leadership Training for Pastors

The greatest multiplier in global missions is a well-equipped pastor. GLD trains local pastors and ministry leaders here in the US — equipping them to teach sound theology internationally. We utilize the proven Biblical Training for Church Planters (BTCP) curriculum from bibletraining.com, and then connect each trained pastor with one of our 140+ active seminary partnerships around the world.
This model is reproducible, sustainable, and deeply contextualized. Pastors trained in this way are not importing a foreign model — they are carrying timeless truth into their own networks and communities.

The GLD team selects and acquires high-quality theological resources — in many cases sourced or translated into the host country’s language — builds the library infrastructure, develops the cataloguing systems, and trains staff to maintain it. For many of our partner seminaries, the absence of basic technology is not a minor inconvenience — it is a barrier that prevents quality instruction and limits a school’s ability to serve its students. Schools that lack a reliable network connection, a working computer lab, digital projection equipment, or basic printers are simply not able to deliver the quality of education their faculty and students deserve.
A technology upgrade through GLD addresses these real, practical needs. We assess each school’s specific context and provide targeted support: computer labs, printers, internet infrastructure, digital display and recording equipment for online classes, and whatever is most strategic for that institution’s mission.

GLD has helped plant 15 new Baptist seminaries across Africa, Latin America, Central and South Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. We know what it takes to stand up a theologically sound, institutionally healthy school from the ground up — and we walk with our partners every step of the way. This is among the most significant investments a church, association, or individual donor can make in the advance of Kingdom work. A seminary endures. The leaders it produces multiply.
